"The White House on Friday threw its support behind a plan to speed release of $25 billion in existing loans to the Big Three automakers but rejected a Democratic proposal to use money from a financial bailout to help the troubled industry.

David Asman, of the Fox Business Network, said today, that they have filed a Freedom of Information Act request, to the U.S. Treasury, to find out where the "bailout" money is coming from and where it's going. He said that the Treasury has 18 days to respond. If they don't respond in that time, the network will file a lawsuit against the Treasury Department.

To top off the bad news for the week, General Electric, the parent company of left-leaning NBC and MSNBC, just received $140B in bailout money. Coincidence? I think not.

My son, who just graduated Air Force Basic Training, asked my wife and I to watch this video. They played it in church, every Sunday, during BMT. He's really proud to be serving his country. We just found out that he's in a job that has a high deployment rate. We'll hope for the best.

Thanks for the invitation to sit-in on the Executive Committee meeting. To say the least, it was informative. I've been a little "focused" on the National elections and haven't learned anything about the Local elections. To be honest, I've never been a "joiner". I actually thought that I would feel a little "out-of-place" at your meeting, but I was pleasantly surprised at how friendly everyone was. Thanks for that!
