Nancy Pelosi-led House Democrats set Committe Budgets/Priorities

Well, so much for the Democrats getting their priorities straight. House resolution 202 passed on March 5, 2007 by the Democratic majority put their priorities in order by putting their money where their mouth is. For the next two years the committee budgets are:

  • Oversight and Government Reform: $21,602,950
  • Ways and Means: $19,040,609
  • Foreigh Affairs: $17,391,504
  • Energy and Commerce: $21,057,249
  • Transportation and Infrastructure: $19,261,795

While such critical committees that have to deal with important issues get:

  • Armed Services: $14,618,946
  • Education and Labor: $16,213,840
  • Homeland Security: $16,448,403
  • Intelligence: $10,467,084
  • Science and Technology: $12,963,775

But all told, the House will spend, just on its' committees a total of $276 Million of your tax dollars over the next two years just figuring out how to spend your money.
